This year’s 69th Annual Daytona Bike Week will see hundreds of female motorcycle fans organize an event to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) in its effort to find a cure for the disease.
The initiative’s official partner will be Harley-Davidson Motor Company - On Tuesday, March 2, MDA and Harley-Davidson will host the 3rd Annual Harley-Davidson Women’s Ride.
The event will feature hundreds of female motorcyclists who’ll ride through the streets of Daytona, celebrating their free spirit and trying to help the MDA. All of the participants will be encouraged to secure pledges and donations from families and friends. The money raised will go to MDA’s Summer Camp program. The Top three fundraisers will receive a Harley-Davidson Jacket. Last year, the ride manged to raise over $65,000.
Ride staging will take place between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. near Gate 70 of the Daytona International Speedway. The group will set off at 10 a.m. and ride through Riverfront Park on Beach Street. Female riders who want to join the ride, regardless of their motorcycle brand, or anyone willing to pledge support for the riders can do this by visiting this link.
In addition to that, Harley-Davidson will also host a special women’s area at Riverfront Park on Beach Street throughout Bike Week. Bespoke trainings will be offered by the company to those interested. Participants will receive advice about riding techniques. A raffle which will bring its winner a Pink Label Collection item (from Harley-Davidson MotorClothes) will also be organized.
