Guy Acting like a Fool at a Gas Station Has Us Wondering How Can He Even Drive?

He may not be all that familiar over in the United States of America, but Rowan Atkinson's Mr. Bean is one of the most instantly recognizable British TV characters.
His goofy attire and silly walk together with a face you'd struggle to take seriously even in the most dramatic situations made him a hit during the early '90s. Even though the situations he found himself in were usually part of anyone's daily routine, the manner in which he dealt with them was so exaggerated, that you wouldn't expect to come across anything remotely similar in real life.

Imagine the surprise of the person in this car who, sensing something was off about the individual in the Vauxhall Astra in front of them at a gas station in Grangemouth, Scotland, took out their phone and started recording. When the video starts, we can see one nozzle stuck into the fuel filler, and another one lying on the floor. That should raise some suspicion, but not to the level of what is about to happen.

The Astra then drives forward with the nozzle still attached, prompting it to snap and fall on the ground next to its twin. Then the man gets out of the car, and it's really one of those situations where you don't know whether to laugh or feel bad for the man. It all depends on the reason why he's moving like that: is he mentally ill, or is he just under the influence of something very, very strong?

Either way, it's safe to assume he isn't supposed to be driving, so the right thing to do on the filmer's part was to put stop recording and dial the emergency number. That man was definitely a hazard to himself and everyone around. But you can see that the person behind the camera has no reaction when they see the Astra reverse toward their vehicle. After seeing what had just unfolded, I would have freaked out and reversed myself all the way to Wales. But, no, they just keep on recording.

It's also a bit surreal how no gas station employee thought it was necessary to intervene. These places are packed with CCTV cameras, so they must have seen it. Were they waiting for real-life Mr. Bean to knock down a fuel pump before doing something? Was he a regular here and everyone knew about his antics? We will never know, just like the reason for his behavior will also continue to elude us. If anyone has any idea, please feel free to share.
