Of all the things you can forget at a gas station, a tourist forgot his wife. Our guess is that he can compete for the unluckiest guy in the world without hesitation.
Apparently, the man was driving back to Argentina following a holiday in Brazil together with his wife and kid. On their way home, he stopped at a gas station to fill up their gas tank and then went to the toilet. His wife, who had been sleeping in the backseat, went into the shop, but when she returned to the car, her family had already departed without her.
She tried to call her husband’s phone but could not connect because it had no reception, so she asked the gas station’s employees for help. They immediately contacted the local police who took her to a station until her husband returned.
We understand that the guy was probably tired or who knows, but what about the kid? How can you not see that your mother is missing? Well, the 14-year-old was apparently playing on his mobile phone in the front seat and didn’t notice the disappearance. In fact, no one noticed for an estimated 62 miles (100 km). When he did realize his wife was not in the backseat, the husband drove right back.
A Police officer said that when the forgetful tourist eventually returned two hours later, the wife started kicking the car and screaming at him for taking so long, as Telegraph reports.
If you think this is bad, wait to hear another good story. A German newly-married man also forgot his bride in a gas station, but this time in France. The couple were going back home from their honeymoon, and just like in the first case, the wife was sleeping in the backseat. While he gassed up their van, she got out of the car to use the gas station’s bathroom, a fact her husband only realized 125 miles (200 km) and two and a half hours later.
