How badly do you want a great classic Chevelle in your life? Enough to pay new sports car money for it? If you said yes, then the Chevrolet old-timer pictured below might be what the doctor ordered.
You're looking at a 1968 Chevy Chevelle SS that we'd describe as being fabulous. Since you are still here, chances are you agree. After all, what's not to love about a sexy classic American car that looks this good despite being made nearly six decades ago?

The vendor says the exterior paint finish, which was applied this year, is maroon, though it looks more like burgundy on our screens. The exact hue doesn't matter at all, as what matters is that it fits the old-timer's styling like a charm. The same goes for the American Racing wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich tires with white branding, the black roof, and the usual chrome trim.

Opening the door will reveal an equally clean and timeless interior design dominated by black. Everything seems to be period-correct, bar the Pro Tach rev counter. If you must know why this '68 Chevelle SS is this clean, it is because it was fully restored two years ago. Since then, it has covered less than 3,000 miles (~4,800 km), so it's an almost brand-new car.

Another interesting aspect is that this classic machine has also been properly maintained over the years, as it was in the same family since it rolled off the line at the end of the 1960s until 2022. The engine is none other than the mighty 396 ci V8, which works together with an automatic transmission that is said to provide smooth gear shifts.

This Chevelle SS also features a Magnaflow exhaust system for a more sonorous presence, and it is ready to hit the road again. A seasoned collector and/or classic car enthusiast likely already has it in their sights, so if you don't want to miss the chance of owning it, then you should make an offer soon and be ready to sign your name on the dotted line after transferring the funds to the vendor.

Speaking of the latter, Garage Kept Motors is behind the ad. This ride was listed for $79,900 at the time of writing, which is a lot of money for such a model. However, this isn't your run-of-the-mill Chevelle, but a fully restored and original (save for a few upgrades) Chevelle that deserves to be driven constantly by its future owner.

Now, if you were sitting on roughly $80k and were searching for a new fun ride, would you get this classic Chevy or something different? Don't forget that you could also drive off the lot in a brand-new Corvette Stingray on this budget.
