School might be out for public school teachers, but General Motors is giving educators in all fields another reason to look forward to this summer. The automaker announced the GM Educator Discount program this week that gives teachers a special discount on just about all Chevrolet, GMC and Buick products for the 2014 and 2015 model years.
Teachers and educators for grades K-12 as well as at the college level qualify for a discount that is the same as the GM Supplier Discount, which can be found on the vehicle invoice listed as “SUPPLR.” While the exact discount varies by vehicle and their individual packaging, the program web sites gives a few examples such as a 2014 Chevrolet Impala 1LT discounted by $1,109.95, a 2014 Buick Enclave FWD (Convenience trim level) discounted by $2,123.24 and a 2014 GMC Sierra Double Cab SLE 2WD discounted by $2,416.14. In most cases, this program can be combined with other discounts and incentives, too.

In addition to being applicable to teachers and educators, GM is extending the discount to spouses and dependent children (under the age of 21 or full-time students under the age of 25). Each educator is able to buy or lease two new vehicles (dealer demos included), but he or she must keep the vehicle(s) for at least six months.

This new program runs until January 2, 2015, and the only Chevrolet, GMC and Buick products it does not apply to are the 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 and the Chevrolet Spark EV. For more information on the GM Educator Discount program, check out the press release below or visit the program website.
