This year’s edition of the Geneva Motor Show has brought us the second generation of the Kia cee’d, a vehicle that’s aiming to bring the South Korean carmaker extremely close to its compact segment rivals from Germany.
The vehicle comes with a more dynamic design, with the styling having been refined in the company’s Namyang (Korea) wind tunnel. As for the interior, this comes with superior materials, as well as offering more features than before.

Under the hood (this is the Euro-sped engine range) we get two petrol and two diesel units. The entry-level powerplant is a 1.4-liter gasoline engine, which is followed by a 1.6-liter GDI direct-injected unit that delivers 135 hp, with the latter also being available with a dual clutch transmission.

As for the diesel range, this starts with a 1.4-liter powerplant, which is followed by a 1.6-liter VGT turbo that produces 128 hp, with customers also being able to opt for versions that come with eco features, such as a start-stop function.
