Citroen’s booth at this year’s Geneva Auto Show is basically filled with premieres. Most of them have been announced during the previous week, but we just had to see them in person. So is the case with the three new concept cars based on the company's production models.

If we already brought to you a set of live images from the show with the ones based on the company’s C3 and C6, it is now DS4’s turn to wow the crowds.

A special Purple version of the vehicle is currently being displayed at the Swiss venue, one that also sits next to the DS4 in its final production form, and that reinterprets and takes inspiration from the techniques of jewellery craft.

“An object of desire and distinction, the concept subtly reworks finishes from jewellery, classic in luxury craft but rarely applied to cars, for a different kind of elegance for the most discerning aesthetes,” a company statement reads.

Sporting matte plum body paint, the DS4 Purple is enhanced with champagne-coloured chrome, brushed and unbrushed and various special finishes in the same tones on the headlamps, wheels and badges.

“After the successful launch of DS3, DS4 is further proof of Citroën’s ‘Créative Technologie’.  Fitting perfectly into the DS line with its distinctive style, sensations, design and refinement, DS4 is a raised four-door coupé combining vitality and versatility for an unrivalled driving experience. Already winning the hearts and minds of the public, DS4 was recently voted Most Beautiful Car of the Year by 60,000 Internet users from 62 countries,” CItroen says.
