We already knew that Citroen will be bringing three new concept cars based on the company's production models to Geneva this year. But still, having images from the Swiss venue with these three concepts managed to somehow take us by surprise and take our hats off in front of the French automaker.

One of these three concepts is the C3 Red Block, a car that reportedly comes as a new special edition of the C3 hatchback, and which mostly brings styling improvements to the standard production model.

Sporting a bespoke matt grey paintjob known as Thorium, with red accents on the window line and 17-inch alloy wheels, the C3 Red Block also adds smoked headlamps and tail lamps, as well as a lowered suspension.

The weatherstrips, the lower seal on the rear flap and the wheel nut covers are highlighted in a completely new pearlescent red. “A gloss black finish has been applied to the bumper strips and air intake surround at the front, the headlamp recesses, the mirror housings and the decorative seal of the Zenith windscreen to underscore the contrasts,” Citroen says.

The vehicle is also fitted with an unique interior trim highlighted by the red leather seats, aluminum accents on the steering wheel, door panels and center console, and what the company describes as a "3D fascia band illustrating a Bulldog”.

Described by Citroen as “a rebellious take on the top-selling model in the range,” this special version is obviously aimed at the young segment of the market, where a special image is needed.
