There is a lot to love about the Ford Bronco, including its driver-friendliness on the road and impressive off-road abilities, but its retro-inspired design also helped the SUV become the hottest vehicle in America. Custom car shop Galpin Auto Sports has leveraged the Bronco's popularity to create a one-off project that will be on display at the upcoming SEMA Show and will then be auctioned to support a charity founded by Grammy award-winning music group Imagine Dragons.
Classic details, fine custom touches, and reproduction parts make this new-school 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands look way more old-school. The one-of-one car is the result of a collaboration between GAS, SEMA, and Imagine Dragons and was built to celebrate the inaugural SEMA Fest event, which is promoted as a festival celebrating motorsports, music, and car culture.

"This build is right in our wheelhouse, and I'm thrilled to work with SEMA on this special project for such a great cause. We can't wait for Imagine Dragons to see how we 'Galpinized' this awesome Bronco," said Beau Boeckmann, president and COO of Galpin Motors.

In order to make this retro-looking Ford Bronco appealing to the eyes and ears, the team at GAS applied a host of modifications to the donor vehicle, including upgraded Body Armor 4X4 bumpers and an IAG retro-style grille, along with Rigid Industries auxiliary lights and Oracle headlights and taillights. A 2.5-inch Camburg lift kit and Bilstein shocks are also part of the upgrades.

Additionally, the one-off Bronco benefits from a series of overlanding amenities, such as a Front Runner roof rack with a Recon Recovery rooftop tent and awning. These accessories, along with a built-in fridge, two camp chairs, and a firepit from Front Runner, make it ready for outdoor adventures.

The car rolls on custom Fifteen52 Analog HD aluminum wheels that have been painted gold to match the vehicle's roof and front grille and are shod in 37-inch Toyo Open Country M/T tires. The team at Galpin also painted the fender flares, door handles, and mirror caps in Eruption Green, one of the 4x4's most intriguing colors, to match the rest of the vehicle.

The Imagine Dragons-inspired Bronco has a custom Katzkin interior and an upgraded sound system from Rockford Fosgate.

As for what lies under the car's hood, Galpin hasn't revealed much, but it does mention that the engine has been outfitted with a Roush Performance Air Induction System, which should "improve airflow to the engine while keeping harmful dirt and debris out."

The car will make its debut at the SEMA Show on Tuesday, October 31, and will then take center stage during Imagine Dragons' SEMA Fest performance on Saturday, November 4, at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. Afterward, the custom build will be auctioned off, and the proceeds will be donated to the Tyler Robinson Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports children battling pediatric cancer.
