Land Rover has revealed its first-ever production hybrid models at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show - the Range Rover Hybrid and Range Rover Sport Hybrid, which promised to deliver outstanding fuel economy and significantly lower CO2 emissions.
The new hybrid powertrain combines Land Rover’s popular 3-liter SDV6 diesel engine with a 35 kW electric motor and an 8-speed ZF transmission. Total system power is rated at 340 PS and 700 Nm, managing to push the each of the SUVs from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under 7 seconds.
The new models can be offered with the Black Design Pack which includes Gloss Black body finish, black trimmings and 22-inch alloy wheels.
Both hybrid Range Rovers will continue to deliver class-leading versatility and capability offered by the automaker’s advanced system like Terrain Response 2.
