It looks like someone at Turn 10 Studios has let slip a video of the upcoming Forza Motorsport 4 game, which has ended up on Youtube. This isn’t some undeveloped form of the game with poor graphics and bad images, as the video shows a well-polished, quality view of the product that will arrive on retailer’s shelves in October of this year.
The latest installment of the Forza sage makes extensive use of the Kinect system, allowing players to open the doors and hood of their cars with just hand motions and even to fire-up the engine from the drivers seat.
The video also reveals how Kinect will allow players to look around the corners they are taking by detecting head motions.
It looks like Turn 10 Studios’ main goal with Forza Motorsport 4 was to create the best looking game possible by using technologies like image-based lighting for a photographic quality.
One thing is for sure, you won’t be left wanting for choice exciting supercars to drive, as over 80 carmakers will be featured, including Ferrari, Bugatti and Lamborghini. The maker of the game says this is more than has ever seen in this gaming type.
The game career mode will see games compete around the globe at the world’s most famous venues, including five all-new locations. One of these is revealed in the video as an overhead view and looks just like the Top Gear test track at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey, United Kingdom.
We think it’s interesting enough, but we hope that all this stuff about the game making use of the Kinect system will not get in the way of an actual racing game.
