The 2015 Ford Mustang will be the first vehicle in North America to feature the Blue Oval’s next-generation SYNC AppLink, the Detroit-based automaker announced at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The enhanced SYNC AppLink will come standard on the sixth-generation pony car and it will be introduced to the rest of the Ford lineup for the 2015 model year. According to the manufacturer, the updated feature will offer simpler in-vehicle menus, access to real-time vehicle data, a more consistent user experience via voice pass-through capability, and many more.

“Our goal with AppLink has always been to let drivers take advantage of the information, news and entertainment apps they value most,” said Doug VanDagens, Ford global director of connected services. “The new version of AppLink gives developers even more tools to help deliver a seamless app experience.”

The 2015 Ford Mustang will arrive in showroom in late 2014. The vehicle is rumored to go on sale this spring.
