Ford Motor Company has unveiled three brand new King Ranch models that will be offered starting with the 2015 model year. As you might have already guessed, we’re talking about the redesigned 2015 F-150 and F-150 Super Duty pickup trucks, as well as the facelifted 2015 Expedition SUV.
All three vehicles are to be offered with unique exterior and interior features, more standard equipment compared to other trim levels and a special selection of wheels. The King Ranch models will become available in four exterior colors - Caribou, Bronze Fire, Guard and Ruby Red Metallic Clearcoat.
Caribou will be offered only as a monotone, while the other colors will have Caribou as an accent color in a two-tone paint livery. As for the interior, the King Ranch trucks and SUV will gain an exclusive premium Mesa Brown leather.
Additionally, Ford revealed that 2014 marks the King Ranch nameplate’s 15th anniversary. To celebrate the big event, FoMoCo commissioned Wyman Meinzer, the official State Photographer of Texas, for a special photo shoot at the King Ranch. The unique collection of photos is being exhibited at the 2014 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo until March 23.
"King Ranch is a legacy. It's one of the best in Texas, if not America," Meinzer said. "These Ford vehicles wear the King Ranch 'Running W' brand because they are proven to be legitimate and authentic, in the heritage of both Ford and the King Ranch. King Ranch vehicles are made to kick butt, to get in the brush and dunes and mud holes. We tried to present them in the conditions you'd actually see on a ranch."
The new F-150 King Ranch and Expedition King Ranch will go on sale later this year. Pricing has yet to be announced, but we’ll get back to you as soon as Ford releases additional info.
