Mountune, Ford’s “official European tuning partner”, will be opening up its first shop in the United States, the company revealed yesterday. Yep, you guessed it, this means that the Ford Focus ST and Fiesta ST will become available with Mountune performance parts in North America as well.
The UK-based aftermarket specialist will set up its American headquarters in Southern California, that will also an engine-building facility. US customers will gain access to Mountune’s high-performance and racing parts through Ford dealerships. Also, Mountune says it will collaborate with Ford Racing on selected products, many of which will benefit from a Ford Racing warranty.
"As Ford's official tuning partner in Europe, combined with an impressive array of market-leading parts already under our belt, nobody is better positioned to bring engineered expertise in upgrading and tuning Fiesta, Focus and other Ford platforms to the enthusiasts of the USA", said David Moore, marketing manager and Mountune.
A website dedicated to US customers will be launched later this month.
As a reminder, Mountune adds 32 HP to the 179 bhp Fiesta ST, and 24 horses to the 247 bhp Focus ST.
