While it might not seem like it, the S550 Mustang is not that far from its retirement. Among others, this means that both Ford Performance and aftermarket developers have had plenty of time to come up with spiced-up incarnations of the pony. However, that's not to say we can't enjoy fresh custom approaches, which is just what the rendering occupying the screen proposes.
It's worth noting that the party trick of this 'Stang comes from its posterior. That's where we find a high-downforce setup that deserves our attention.
For one, the trunk lid now has a swan neck wing standing over it, but the massive diffuser is even more interesting, especially since its airflow manipulation does have to deal with exhaust interference - the exhaust tips migrated upwards and are now located between the taillights.
Moving to the sides of the Blue Oval toy, we find a widebody kit with vented arches that capture the imagination. And the side skirt extensions, with their gilles, simply can't be ignored.
Up front, the custom hood meets a generously-sized splitter secured with the help of rods, for the all-important aerodynamic balance of the vehicle.
Now, there's no reason to worry about the uber-limited ground clearance of the Ford Mustang, since this is the result of an air setup, which means the driver can always lift the car to cope with daily driving scenarios. As for the deep-concave profile of the wheels, these basically scream "hooning".
