Many of us would love to be able to do something for the cars we love, to help them in any possible way. But to love a car, you must have a heart (literally) and this is exactly what Ford designer Melvin Betancourt was missing eleven years ago.
The doctors at the Henry Ford Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan performed surgery on him, saving his life, with Melvin feeling excellent ever since and now the designer has found a way of saying "thank you".

Thus, he created the special edition 2012 Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca you see here, as a modern interpretation of the 'Stang Parnelli Jones used to win the 1970 Trans-Am Championship.

The pony is dressed in School Bus yellow, uses black design accessories and comes with number decals.

The creation will be auctioned off during the Get Your Heart Racing event, which is scheduled to be held on October 15, with the proceeds going to the Henry Ford Health System, which aims to raise money for cardiovascular disease fighting. You can get tickets to the event online or by calling (734) 246-9583.
