With the Mustang’s 50th Anniversary just around the corner, model car manufacturer Automodello has introduced a pair of miniatures replicating the 1962 Mustang 1 Concept, which was showcased by Ford earlier this year in the 2015 Mustang countdown series.
The US-based company released 1:24 and 1:43 resin-built scale models of the concept car. Both will also be offered in special Tribute Editions, featuring a certificate of authenticity hand-signed by Dan Gurney. The 1:24 version is limited to 150 examples, while the 1:43 variant is built in only 50 units. The standard editions come in larger numbers - up to 999 for the 1:43 and up to 499 for the 1:24.
Automodello has been selected as one of Ford’s 50 licensees authorized to make “Mustang 50 Years” merchandise, which means the Tribute Edition is also available via the Blue Oval company. Pricing starts from $119.95 and tops at $350, depending on scale and edition.
Expect a high quality build, interior materials textured to accurate scale, raised chrome foil on emblems and lettering, chrome-plated trim and rolling wheels.
