Ford Mondeo Titanium with ECOnetic Technologies Launched

Ford has just launched a new Mondeo Titanium version in the United Kingdom, this time featuring ECOnetic technologies especially aimed at cutting CO2 emissions and improving fuel efficiency. The new model is powered by a 2.0-liter TDCi powerplant that develops 115 PS and releases just 139 grams of CO2 per kilometer.

It is offered in either five-door hatchback or estate form and achieves a fuel consumption figure of 54.3 mpg, according to official figures provided by the parent manufacturer.

As compared to the base Titanium model, the new version features the same equipment levels, except for the ECOnetic technologies we told you above. In addition, Ford also equipped it with new features to help reduce CO2 emissions and improve fuel economy, including the following:

  • 16-inch Y-Spoke lightweight alloy wheels (standard)
  • 17-inch Y-spoke alloys (option)
  • An optimum gear change indicator
  • Aerodynamically optimised sports suspension and air deflectors
  • Rear spoiler (five-door only)

In the United Kingdom, the Mondeo Titanium 2.0 115 PS TDCi is priced from £23,295.00 for the five-door and £24,545.00 for the estate.

"With Vehicle Excise Duty falling in band E, costing £120 per year, and combined with improved fuel economy, this delivers competitive cost of ownership maximising the appeal to fleets and user-chooser customers," Ford said in a statement for the press.

Feature highlights on Mondeo Titanium include active cruise control, adaptive headlights and voice recognition. It comes with several enhancements over the base Mondeo, including a new front grille, restyled front and rear bumpers, fog lights and lowered body.
