Ford Fusion Energi Earns Top Vehicle Safety Rating from NHTSA

The all-new 2013 Ford Fusion Energi was awarded with a five-star Overall Vehicle Score by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in its New Car Assessment Program (NCAP).
In addition, the 2013 Fusion Energi was also named Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and achieved EPA-rated fuel economy of 100 MPGe combined, including 108 MPGe city and 92 MPGe highway.

“The Fusion Energi combines the highest possible safety ratings from NHTSA and great fuel economy, two things we know customers are looking for in their vehicles,” said Steve Kenner, Global Director of the Ford Automotive Safety Office. “Our strategy is to provide our customers with a range of powertrain options in our vehicles, while still leading in fuel economy in every segment that we compete.”

The 2013 Fusion Energi features Ford’s new Personal Safety System which includes safety belt technologies and front impact airbags. Other safety and convenience features include Lane Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Rearview Camera, Hill Start Assist and Electronic Parking Brake.
