Ford is extremely serious about the go-fast versions of the new Focus. Not only are we talking about the carmaker’s first global performance model, but also about a racer developed on this platform, the $98,995 (EUR75,880) Focus ST-R.
The Blue Oval has released a video that details the motorsport features that can be found on the car, with Ford Racing’s Andy Vrenko offering us a bouquet of details.
Ford hasn’t released the performance data for the car yet, but we do know that under the hood we have a 2.0-liter Ecoboost turbocharged four-cylinder unit that works with a six-speed manual. The vehicle also comes with tech goodies such as a roll cage, a limited slip differential, a beefier braking system, as well as a revised suspension.
