If you’ve been following us the past two weeks you already know that the 2015 Ford F-150 pickup truck will be launched with an aluminum body, a brand new 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine and no less than 11 class-exclusive features.
Although it’s less important than the 700 pounds the aluminum alloy body shaved off the current-generation truck, the redesigned F-150 also comes with a new badge. And it seems that Ford went through a lot to create the new one, as it considered no less than 23 designs.
The new “F-150” logo uses a font called “Bold Leadership” and features seven notable elements, including an open F letter that signifies a lighter, more efficient truck and a hyphen delete that stands for efficiency. As a reminder, the 2015 F-150 was unveiled at the 2014 Detroit Motor Show last week and will go on sale by the end of the year.
