Ford’s subcompact MPV might have been about delayed by about half a year due to the economic crisis, but it arrived in the nick of time in Britain. Just as the market there is showing strong signs of recovery, the B-MAX records strong sales figure.
After only six month on the market, 1,000 people have said “Yes, I want that” to the little brother of the C-MAX and are probably the better for it. Ford UK has said that it received more than 2,500 orders to date, most of which before it arrived in the country.

"We ran a Ford B-MAX promotional campaign offering the chance to win unusual prizes that would not normally be available to the general public.  Over 70,000 of those participating clicked through to an online Ford B-MAX configurator so we knew there was strong appeal from the start, but even so we were amazed by the true level of interest – especially since most customers placed orders before they had even been to a showroom," said Anthony Ireson, Ford Britain marketing director.

Ford offers the B-MAX with a choice of fuel efficient powertrains, including the 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine, named “International Engine of the Year 2012”. Other petrol engine options include 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre Duratec engines, while diesel choices the new 1.5-liter 75 PS base model, making its UK debut in this car.
