The very definition of a family car is of a roomy, safe and preferably not very expensive vehicle, but not if you’re a very successful rapper like Playboi Carti.
The 24-year-old, who goes by the real name Jordan Terrell Carter, is supposedly a first-time father after his girlfriend of two years, Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, gave birth to a baby boy in total secrecy last month. TMZ is now saying that Carti chose to upgrade his already pretty-awesome fleet of vehicle with a family ride, by splurging on a Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
Rolls-Royce is the epitome of luxury, but if you’re rich enough, sure, it can also be the fanciest family ride out there. Carti paid over $400,000 for the specced-out car, and $10,000 more on a rush shipping fee. Celebrity car broker RD Whittington’s Wires Only company handled the delivery, and even posted a video tour of the ride to Instagram before it was shipped to Georgia.
As per the celebrity publication, Carti wanted a car that could easily fit a baby car seat, together with Iggy and presumably a nanny. Based on his own Instagram and media reports, he already owns a couple of Lamborghinis, a G-Wagen, a BMW i8, an Audi S5 and a Bentley Musanne. He still felt the need for more interior space, so the Cullinan made for the right choice.
For $400K, Carti gets a flashy ride with plenty of entertainment options, including the possibility to light up and project stars on the retractable sunroof, TV screens that pop up, leather seats and a cocktail table for the mom and dad, that also deploys at the touch of a button.
Whether Carti and Iggy actually did welcome their first child last month has not been confirmed yet. If they did start a family, they definitely settled for the fanciest, most luxurious family car out there.
