Ladies and gentlemen drivers, allow us to announced that Monaco has received its first Ferrari 488 Pista. As you can imagine, the limited edition has turned quite a few heads, especially since the city-state holds an F1 circuit and we're talking about a track special.
As for why this Maranello machine won't surprise you, it all has to do with the hue of the supercar - the Pista comes dressed in a shade of red. Sure, the mid-engined delight also packs black stripes, but this is another story for another time.
Now, thanks to the Instagram post at the bottom of the page, you can check out the Pista that currently adorns the streets of Monaco.
While we're at it, we'll remind you that the Italian automotive producer has also released the Spider incarnation of the 488 Pista, so there will also be a time for the open-top model's first landing in the supercar capital.
The 488 Pista is still too fresh to have truly showcased its potential. Then again, we have shown you a few dynamic stunts delivered by the Italian exotic.
For instance, an independent test has seen the 720 hp toy playing the 0 to 62 mph sprint in 2.26 seconds. The number sits well below the official figure, with Ferrari mentioning that the supercar needs 2.85 seconds for the job.
Then again, the test in question didn't show anything else than the dashboard of the car, so we need to take it with a grain of salt.
Now, if you're curious about the Nurburgring number of the 488 Pista, we'll remind you that Ferrari isn't too excited about lap times, choosing to focus on driving sensations instead. In other words, we don't expect to see a lap time too soon. And we can say the same when it comes to track battles, even though we'd love to see the Fezza battling the Porsche 911 GT2 RS and the McLaren 720S or even the Senna.
