Earlier this week, a Formula 1 Tech Talk seminar took place in Singapore, as the island prepares for Sunday’s Grand Prix.
Attending the closed-door event was Formula One Managing Director of Motorsports Ross Brawn, who presented several of the changes the governing body expects to be making in the years ahead for one of the world's premiere racing series.

Among the things Brawn showed was a rendering of how Formula 1 cars for the 2021 season might look like. And even if the event was closed to the public, images showing the racer did surface online.

There are for now no official details on the design of the new car, but the one in Ferrari livery pictured on the wall behind Brawn does show some differences when compared to the current design, including 18-inch wheels, revised front wings and rear endplates that arch around the wheels.

For the upcoming seasons, Formula 1 is preparing a serious overhaul of the cars in the competition, aimed, for example, at encouraging overtaking. For the 2019 season, F1 already announced a simplified front wing with a larger span and low outwash potential, a simplified front brake duct with no winglets and a wider and deeper rear wing.

Also, F1 decided to no longer take into account the weight of the driver when weighing the cars and will impose the use of biometric gloves for the drivers.

As for the future generation racers, Brawn said that the organization is “looking at a new style of Formula 1 car, aesthetically more modern and futuristic, as I don’t think we’ve really captured as much as we could do in that regard.

“The new cars will look more exciting, in my view. That’s a subjective thing, of course, but most people who have seen the schemes, we’re looking at, feel it’s a more exciting looking car,” the official said according to Grand Prix 247.
