The ST200 made its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show several months ago. However, Ford thought it was the right kind of car to bring to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and they did. Together with the Mondeo ST-Line and Ken Block's Focus RS, the little fighter ensures all eyes are on Ford.
We've gathered quite a few videos, just to keep you Fiesta ST fans busty. The first one shows how the ST200 attempts the Goodwood Hillclimb at the hands of your average mom.
Why? Because Ford insists everybody who took the car up the hill had to be 23 or older, and the Youtuber is just 18. So, he did the next best thing and asked his mother to drive.
After that, we have a walkaround video, allowing us to enjoy the lovely new Storm Grey paint that's exclusive to the ST200. And lastly, there's the official Ford UK video.
With that out of the way, we can give you guys some details on one of the best classic hot hatchbacks ever made. Available in RHD from £22,745, it costs almost 5k more than a regular model. In return, you're getting a re-tuned 1.6-liter turbo making 200 PS (197 bhp) or as much as 215 PS (212 bhp) on overboost. Torque has also gone up from 177 lb-ft (240 Nm) to 214 lb-ft (290 Nm), slightly more on overboost.
In many ways, the Fiesta is superior to the original Focus ST and might even keep up with the 2.5-liter of the previous model. The top speed of 143 mph (230 km/h) also gives you something to brag about.
Chassis updates include a sharper steering ratio (13.69:1), shortened steering arm, different steering knuckle and a thicker anti-roll bar that gives it 27% more stiffness.
Yet we bring you this story with a bit of sadness in our voices. Ford has already begun testing the next generation of the Fiesta, which means that in about a year, we'll say goodbye to this one and all its ST goodness.
