Ferrari announced today that it has offered the Best Partner award to BWI Group, the supplier of the special suspension. The accolade was presented at the Podio Ferrari 2010 ceremony, which was recently held in Maranello, Italy. The award actually recognises the contribution the BWI had made over the last seven years, with the MagneRide suspension being the latest development.
“One of the defining strengths of a great company is the ability to choose the right partners: those with the vision and technology to embrace our core values and safeguard the DNA of our products. These awards express our appreciation to those suppliers who have achieved this,” said Ferrari CEO, Amedeo Felisa.

The MagneRide uses patented dampers that contain a controllable magneto-rheological fluid, with the system offering a sharper response compared to valve-controlled suspension systems. The suspension allows the driver to enjoy "a more precise turn-in feel, improved high speed control and superior road isolation."
