Ferrari FXX K, the Racing LaFerrari, Puts On Lab Coat-Like White Paint

Ferrari doesn’t have garages. Instead, they have laboratories, as we found out when we visited one a few years ago. Speaking of which, here’s an answer to a question nobody asked - how would one of their cars look with a white lab coat on?
Allow us to explain that we’re not talking about any Ferrari here. Oh no. We are referring to what is currently the most violent form of Prancing Horse you can experience without climbing into one of their Formula One racers.

Yes, we mean the 1,036 HP (1,050 PS) Ferrari FXX K, or, to speak profane language, the LaFerrari’s even more evil track-only twin. The racecar is shown in the presence of another FXX K, this time dressed in a shade of Red (presumably, this is the Rosso Corsa we’ve seen before). The motorsport-specific plastic side window is open, as if it’s inviting Ferraristi to take a peak inside the cockpit.

This is a leaked picture, so we don’t even have info on who took it, let alone on the details of the location. Still, we can see a V8 Ferrari shell in the background, which seems to belong to a 458, not a 488 GTB.

When compared to the street-legal 950 HP (963 PS) LaFerrari, the difference in sheer power may not seem all that important. Nevertheless, the FXX K is much more complex than that, upping the ante in terms of weight reduction and aerodynamics.

We’ve gone through these details on previous occasions, but we will mention their result once again - according to Ferrari, the FXX K laps the 1.862-mile Fiorano test track in 1 minute and 14 seconds, which makes it five seconds faster than the LaFerrari.
