Yesterday we showed you a Nissan GT-R that caught fire on the Nurburgring and today we’re back on the burning topic. This time, a Ferrari FF demonstrated spontaneous combustion in Hong Kong.
According to the local media, the owner had recently gotten out of a tunnel, when he noticed smoke coming out of the engine compartment of his Black FF. It didn’t take too long for the source of the smoke to show itself.

The flames spread rapidly, swallowing the entire front of the car, as you can see in the adjacent images. When the firefighters arrived, the flames had already spread towards the passenger cell. Fortunately, the driver had pulled off, exiting the car. The unfortunate event also caused a serious traffic disturbance in the area.

Perhaps the most dramatic view of what happened is offered by the image captured from inside the car, which shows the effects of the extreme temperatures. The melted windscreen and dashboard bring a rather apocalyptic image.

This all means that, despite the fact that large areas of the car were not touched by the fire, this Ferrari is a write-off.

Local authorities are currently investigating the matter, as one theory suggests the fire was caused by improper servicing.
