Ferrari FF Coupe Close to Production

The first and only all-wheel drive Ferrari ever made is going to receive a new body style. Yes, this is another rumor about the FF coupe, but it's the most credible one so far.
Coupe is a French word which means to cut. And what Ferrari plans to cut is the boot of the shooting brake to give it a more elegant, flowing GT look. Apparently, the transition away from the 612's shape didn't sit well with some customers and now a more conventional super-sports GT is expected to arrive in late 2014 or early 2015.

Changes will also target the front fascia of the car, the side vents and of course ditch the rear seats. This latest report is the first one to perfectly match patent images for a fastback FF which emerged half a year ago, showing these exact same changes described.

Unfortunately, the extra vents are just there to show off. The car's output is reported to remain the same, 660 PS from a 6.3-liter V12 engine.

If the rumors turn out to be true and Ferrari does indeed come up with a way to chop the ugly out of the car, it will join a continually redeveloping lineup from the Italian supercar maker. After the California T, a replacement for the 458 equipped with a turbo engine is expected to arrive within the next couple of years as well.

As one British auto journalist with a dodgy hip once put it, people think all Ferraris are esthetically pleasing, works of art on four wheels. But that's not the case, as Maranello has come up with some ugly designs over the years. The FF is definitely the ugly duckling of its generation, though that hasn't stopped people from buying it.
