Ferrari F12 Berlinetta Unveiled: Photos and Video

Ferrari has did what it promised and unveiled the brand new GT car to replace the F12berlinetta. Surprise, surprise: it’s not called the F620 GT, as we’ve said time and time again. Ferrari just isn’t that predictable!
The big news with this front mid-engined supercar is the new V12 under the bonnet. It’s a 64-degree unit, displacing 6262 cc and produces a mid-blowing 740PS at 8,500 rpm. Thanks to the liberal use of aluminum, it only weighs 1,525 kilograms, which is about the same as your average mid-size sedan. Weight distribution is 46% front, 58% rear, so it will be an amazing driveing experience if you can handle it.

Thanks to the specific wight to power level of 2.1 kg/hp, it only takes 3,1 seconds for it to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) and the top speed is “over” 340 km/h (211 mph), though with this much power, it probably does more.

If such things interest you, well tell you that with the HELE System, the F12berlinetta will get a fuel consumption of 15l/100km, and CO2 emission of 350 grams per kilometer.

autoevolution will be attending the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
