The supercar name that will be on everyones' lips the next few years, the 458 Speciale, has just emerged from the not so mirky depths of a Maranello and presented itself to us. So who is it?
The Speciale is to the 458 what the Scurderia was to the F430, a lightened, more hardcore version of the car designed to scare you senseless at the track.
Weighing in at just 1,290 kilograms, this featherweight is about as light as a Ford Focus, but it has a massive 605 hp and 540 Nm at the disposal of the crank.
If you ever see one on the street check out the twin exhaust replacing the 458's three exhaust system, a plexiglass rear window and a completely new front bumper with bigger air splitters and intakes. Also look for 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 9.1 and a hot lap of the Fiorano track in in 1'23"5.
