This week sees the MotoGP in Argentina, testing the new facility at Termas de Rio Hondo, 1,100 km (685 miles) north-west of Buenos Aires. Confirmed riders to test the new circuit are Cal Crutchlow, Stefan Bradl, Alvaro Bautista and Hector Barbera, while Moto2 Tito Rabat ans Nico Terol will be there, too, Thursday through Friday. Stay tuned.
TT Assen will be a part of thr MotoGP world Championship at least until 2021. Dorna Sports CEO, Carmelo Ezpeleta, and President TT Assen circuit, Arjan Bos have signed an agreement for continuing past 2017, which was the date of the running contract. 2013 marks the 65th anniversary of the iconic Dutch track.

Still not fully recovered after his surgery and injuries, Ignite Pramac Ducati rider Ben Spies will miss the next two rounds in MotoGP. While Michele Pirro will substitute for him at Sachsenring in Germany in two week's time, the Italian rider will not be available for the Laguna Seca home race in the US.

Pirro will be at Misano, testing for Ducati, and team Ignite Pramac will hire the Moto2 rider Alex de Angelis. Since there will be no Moto2 race that weekend, choosing de Angelis was only natural. He will get the first taste of the GP13 machinery this week at Misano.
