Ever wondered what F1 drivers do in their spare time when they need to travel? Well, since they're humans like the rest of us. most of them... drive and we're here to show you Stoffel Vandoorne's latest ride.
The McLaren-Honda reserve driver was recently seen enjoying the charms of a McLaren 570S and you can check out his adventure on the images to your right - lens tip to Autogespot for the pics.
The Belgian athlete, who made his Great Circus debut earlier this year at the Bahrain Grand Prix, was seen in the 570S in his home country. And the final part of the title above doesn't just come thanks to the McLaren badges on his two "company cars". Instead, we're also referring to the fact that the 570, even when not in GT trim, is a surprisingly cozy machine, especially if we take into account its 3.1-second 0 to 60 mph sprint or its 204 mph maximum velocity.
Heck, the 570S even comes with a start-stop system, a first for a Woking machine, which means this supercar is doing its best to limit gas station pit stops such as the one seen here.
The racer is obviously eyeing a proper F1 seat for the 2017 season and, based on what he's declared so far, he seems to have no intention of parting ways with McLaren-Honda.
Speaking of which, we'll remind you the team hasn't had the best year. With thirteen rounds covered and eight more to go, McLaren-Honda now occupies the eighth place (out of eleven) in the constructor standings, with 48 points. For the sake of comparison, we'll mention the current podium sees Mercedes leading with a staggering 455 points, followed by Red Bull with 274 points and Ferrari with 252 points.
The just-around-the-corner weekend will bring us the Gran Premio D'Italia, so all eyes will be on Monza.
