Even With No VAT, Suzuki Alto Still Not the Cheapest New Car in Britain

Suzuki is known in the UK for offering ‘VAT free’ deals on some of the cars in their range. Now, the offer has been extended to their cheapest offering, the Alto city car, which now starts at just £5,999, with a £1,200 discount on the most very basic model.
The value of the discount ranges from £1,200 to £1,724, according to the selected trim level. If you want to get an Alto really cheaply, you need to be aware that the offer is only in place until the end of March.

Still, Suzuki may describe the Alto as being the best value city car in the UK, but it is still more expensive than the base version of the Dacia Sandero - there’s only £4 in it.

Also, considering the fact that the Dacia brand has had major backing, in terms of promotion and marketing, once the first right-hand drive examples arrive on British shores, it will most likely make a severe dent in the Alto’s sales.
