EV Ferrari Hypercar Looks Like a Spaceship for the Road, Sadly It's Just Wishful Thinking

It seems that whenever something spectacular happens around the automotive world, a Ferrari is never too far away from the heated action – whether in the real world or across the parallel universes of vehicular CGI.
Just recently, we were shocked to witness another epic race – 3,000 horsepower collided in the form of a Formula One car, a Ferrari SF90 Stradale, a tuned 1,000-hp Audi RS 6 Avant, and a Red Bull stunt plane flown by the same man that successfully landed a little aircraft on the helipad of Dubai's Burj Al Arab Jumeirah earlier this year. Now, haven't we told you a Ferrari is always in the midst of feisty action?

That was an extreme real-world example, by the way. And we bet we will showcase many more of them as the company progresses to building more sports cars and the V12-powered Purosangue super-CUV. Anyway, now it is time to take a flight of fancy into the imaginative realm of digital car content creators. More precisely, Abdu, a 23-year-old "upcoming automotive artist" better known as wizart_concepts on social media, again proves his CGI brush's worth in the best Ferrari way – with a hypercar/race car design project.

Unfortunately, this idea is nameless. As such, we can only refer to it as the Ferrari concept car or the spaceship for the road, as fans dubbed it. The reasons for this approach are pretty obvious, right? Look at the extreme stance, the ultra-widebody setup, the exposed carbon fiber body, the aerodynamic package, and the cockpit tucked in the middle like it was some kind of LMDh prototype from the 2030s.

The race car atmosphere is also supported by the shark fin running from the rear of the cabin to the massive aero wing, of course. The minimalist yet futuristic details make it worthy of the next Sci-Fi blockbuster, and the pixel master was even keen on making sure any classic Ferrari enthusiast could identify this as a Prancing Horse without the need to come closer and check up on the badge. Especially the rear is an obvious tribute to Ferrari models from the 1980s, all set in a modern key.

One interesting thing to note, though, is the apparent lack of exhaust tips. So, could that signify, together with the ultra-small front vent, that we are dealing with a Ferrari EV, not just a 'regular' old hypercar? If that is the case, we can only think of some appropriate foes for this potential flagship Ferrari sports car – the mind-bending Rimac Nevera or its cousin, the Pininfarina Battista, plus the upcoming Lotus Evija. Unfortunately, unlike those projects, this one doesn't have any OEM backing, so it might forever remain merely wishful thinking.
