Paul Smith-signed and painted Triumph machines are clearly a matter of either love or hate. These bikes look either spectacular or horrible, at least this is what people say. Even so, with so few of these bikes manufactured, getting one is not exactly easy, assuming you're into the colorful Paul Smith Limited Edition Triumph thing.
Now, try to imagine someone getting a Paul Smith Triumph and looking forward to making some extra modifications. Sounds crazy maybe, right? Well, even so, the guys at the French workshop Addict Motorcycle would do that for you.
This time, it's about a 2006 Triumph Scrambler, of which only 50 units exist in the whole world. As if this were not exclusive enough, Addict Motorcycle went the extra mile to breathe some authentic American scrambler vibe into the build, so aftermarket parts and some extra fancy treatment were on their way.
A hotrod AR aluminum headlight replaced the stock one, and matching bullet aluminum turn signals were installed, too. Larger, black flat track handlebars replaced the standard unit, and a new support was crafted for the stock gauges.
The scrambler exhaust retains the lines of the original one, but is a custom fabrication. The wheels were also upgraded from the stock 17" to a 19" front and an 18" rear, shod with Cocker tires that are street-legal. The leather saddle is also custom, and the suspensions are AR Schock Factory. Also, there is a luggage rack made specifically for this bike, even though it is not pictured.
As for the engine cases, that intricate engraving work was carried out manually, and it took a whopping 350 hours. On an 8-hour work day basis, this means around 44 days spent on these cases alone, and this will add a neat premium to the bike's price tag.
