An auction house is selling an American Motors Hummer, which was first owned by legendary rapper Tupac Shakur.
According to the listing, this is the last vehicle purchased by Tupac before his untimely death. The rap legend had bought this Hummer about one month before he was gunned down.
The vehicle was customized according to the late artist’s wishes, but it is unclear how many miles Tupac drove in this Hummer.
Considering the car has gathered a pretty low mileage over the years, and the rapper only had it one month before sadly leaving this world, we do not expect the vehicle to have accumulated many miles with Tupac at the wheel.
Since this model came to market before Hummer was a brand of its own, we are talking about a military vehicle converted for civilian use. The engine is a 6.5-liter turbodiesel V8, mated to an automatic transmission.
When compared to a standard model, this example features 37-inch off-road tires and suitable wheels, external PA system with three sirens, a grille guard, diamond-plated bumpers, a 360-degree spotlight, and the word “Eliminator” written in white lettering on the rear driver’s side fender.
Concerning the interior, this example features a 12-disc Clarion sound system, Sony GPS system, air conditioning, privacy glass, full power options, and a rear sliding glass window. Leather seats and wood trim were also added.
The new owner of the car will also receive two promotional cassettes for Michael Jackson’s Thriller and Tupac’s All Eyez on Me, both in fine condition. According to RR Auctions, the estimated price of this Hummer is $100,000.
There is also a certificate stating that Tupac Amaru Shakur was the original owner of the vehicle, as well as a document listing Afeni Shakur, the late rapper’s mother, as property successor. Also included with the purchase is a license plate “YAKNPAK,” which honors the late Tupac Shakur and Yaki “Prince” Kadafi, both departed in 1996.
After Tupac Shakur’s death, the vehicle was stored for many years. In 2003, it changed owners after BET held a raffle called “Picture Me Rolling.” Four years later, it was purchased by Sardar “Candyman 187” Khan and Yaasmyn Fula, the latter being the mother of the late rapper Yaki “Prince” Kadafi. As some of you might know, Yaki “Prince” Kadafi was considered a “godbrother” by Tupac Shakur, and he lost his life only two months after his friend was killed.
Sardar Khan and Yaasmyn Fula drove the vehicle often through Los Angeles, and it appears that the Hummer has not switched owners since them. Currently, Tupac’s Hummer is in Vancouver, Canada, and the new owner will be responsible for all shipping costs.
