Lamborghini has been a constant presence in the headlines recently, as the company is preparing to give the world a new V12 supercar, the Aventador. The vehicle will replace the Murcielago, but this doesn’t mean that the latter won’t receive attention anymore. In fact, we are here to introduce a new modification kit for the Murcielago LP640, with the development being offered by Edo Competition.

The supercar now uses the Edo Competition LP750 designation, with the name indicating the new output. Yes, the tuner now allows the driver to enjoy 750 hp (and 740 Nm/ 546 lb-ft of torque). The list of engine mods that made this possible includes the cylinder heads, a high flow air box, intake system, exhaust system and an ECU remap. Customers can also choose to have the car converted from AWD to RWD, with the move bringing a weight reduction of 40 kg (88 lbs).

Let’s translate the new output into straight-line performance: the vehicle needs 3.1 seconds to cover the 0 to 62 mph sprint, while the 0 to 124 mph (200 km/h) game is played in 9.7 seconds. As for the 0 to 186 mph (300 km/h) sprint, this is dealt within 24.5 seconds. Before we end this part of the story, we must add that the top speed stands at 365 km/h (227 mph).

As for the exterior, the tuner installed an aerodynamic package that promises to enhance high-speed stability. The vehicle rides on 18- and 19-inch (front/rear) alloy rims that use Michelin tires.

Edo Competition had a few words to say about its latest development: “About one and a half years ago the tuning specialists from Ahlen laid hands on a Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 and turned into the fastest and most powerful Murciélago in the world. Back then, the edo competition team managed to extract 710 horsepower and 700 Nm (516 ft-lb) of torque from the 6.5 liter V12 engine. This car was clocked at over 352 km/h (219 mph) on the Papenburg high speed test track, a mark that remains unmatched to this day.But this was not the end of the line, as edo competition is proving with the new Murciélago LP750.
