After Ducati launched their new Monster 1200 machine, taking the step up from the air-cooled Monsters to the liquid-cooled (LC) ones, it was only natural that the range was expanded with more LC bikes. Bike Social spotted the new Monster and here’s how the new naked Ducati machine looks like.
The new Monster is powered by the same liquid-cooled engine which moves the Hypermotard machines, namely, the Testastretta 11° lump. 110 hp are expected from the 821cc L-twin power unit, with the new bike also expected to receive traction control, riding modes and ABS as standard equipment. Though not confirmed yet, such assumptions might turn out to be true, given the amount of electronics bike manufacturers endow their new creations with these days.

Unlike the 1200 Monster, the 821cc one comes with a new, double-sided swingarm. From an aesthetic point of view, the Monster 821 looks very similar to its bigger brother. The bike, marketed as a 2015 model, will most likely get an early launch at the World Ducati Week in Misano, Italy rumor has it.

If we are to believe the rumors, it means that the bike pictured above is pretty much ready for launch and this is the final shape. There is no word on pricing, but voices in the industry say that the Monster 821 will surface with the same price tag like the Hypermotard. While the large Monster received a warm welcome, the 821 version might need the right price in order to sell well against other 700-900cc naked machines. I know that Yamahas are no Ducatis, but still, the MT-09 has a dream price
