Yamaha asked Valentino Rossi to introduce the new 2014 MT-09 Street Rally to the world, as he seemed the best racing icon to do so. And taking a look at the nifty upgrades the MT-09 (FZ-09 in the US) got, we too believe this choice was the right one.
The 2014 Yamaha MT-09 Street Rally brings is a lot of modifications over the base mode, starting with the new, exclusive bodywork and ending with special chassis parts.
Yamaha added more supermotard DNA to the MT-09 with new tank shrouds, side number plates, new fork covers and a miniature wing-shaped windscreen. Add in a slimmer seat and wider footrests for a more upright riding stance, too.
The new controlled-fill diecast aluminium frame and asymmetrical swing arm add a more sporty feel, juts like the custom Akrapovic exhaust harnesses more nerve from the 115 hp crossplane triple. Price to be announced soon.
