Driver Destroys Dealership Lot in Ford F-150 Testdrive

American drivers gained global fame for their affinity for automatic transmissions, as compared to Europeans who'd always opt for a manual configuration that would better allow them to test their skills. However, it seems like even an automatic tranny that requires minimum interaction with the driver can lead to... let's say stupid things.

And the best example comes straight from a Ford dealership where an F-150 driver apparently put the test car in reverse by MISTAKE and accelerated. By mistake. Again. The results? At least three cars were damaged, but nobody was injured, according to kmbc.com.

Excuse us if we can't believe the driver's explanation, but he sincerely claims that the jolt resulted from the car moving in reverse made him press the accelerator. Instead of the brake, that is. The emergency teams at the Blue Springs Ford dealerships rushed to help the captive couple, so nobody was injured after all. Except for the three cars that got damaged after the stunt.

Unfortunately, there's no information whether the testdriver actually bought the F-150 or he did this for fun. Nor do we know if the dealership is the one who has to pay for the damaged car.

After all, it seems like the F-150 is indeed a powerful vehicle, just like Ford has told us so many times. But we didn't know that we actually can test this on our own. Good thing that the driver was not injured. He can do this again, this time with a Dodge Ram, Chevrolet Silverado or maybe a Toyota Tundra. You know, just for the sake of comparison. Maybe he'll even buy one next time.
