Cancer-Struck Musician Killed While Driving Dream Car

Andrew Tinker, a Texas born singer and songwriter, was diagnosed with cancer recently and was given at most six months to live. As probably most of us would do in such an unfortunate circumstance, Tinker contemplated the idea of living the rest of his life to the fullest. And so he did.

One of his dreams before he passed away was to drive a high-performance vehicle,  so his girlfriend, Jane Croft, who for the last few weekends was accompanying Tinker in his dream-fulfilling spree, arranged for a test drive of a high-performance, hand-built vehicle.

Unfortunately, the life of Andrew Tinker ended sooner than doctors predicted, on the A449 Kidderminster Road at Stourton, after he lost control of the car and smashed into an oncoming Toyota Yaris. Both Tinker and Croft were killed, while the driver of the Toyota, Josephine Morris, was seriously injured.

“I saw something white coming at me out the corner of my eye and I remember saying to myself ‘Oh my God’ before there was a huge bang and I was thrown into the front passenger seat,” Morris was quoted as saying by expressandstar.com.

“All of a sudden the car seemed to turn across the lane, almost at right angels, and came over the central reservation. He didn’t appear to slow down or swerve or anything. He just went straight across,” Andrea Lavender, the driver of the car behind added.

The cause of the accident is not yet known, but police suspects Tinker hit a wet patch or accelerated too hard. The car was in working order prior to the accident and had made all the necessary checks before handing the car over to Tinker.
