Dodge Mopar '10 Challenger Unleashed

In an effort to quench some of our thirst for the 2011 Dodge Challenger, the automotive producer released a limited edition of the 2010 Challenger that uses Mopar parts, as insideline reports.

Dubbed the Dodge Mopar ‘10 Challenger, the vehicle has actually been created to celebrate the collaboration between the carmaker and its aftermarket parts supplier, and comes with a modified exterior and a performance enhancement.

The car’s 5.7 liter Hemi V8 powerplant comes with a unique engine cover and uses multiple Mopar parts. The unit breaths via a hood-venting system and a cold air intake. The engine can be mated to a five speed automatic gearbox or to a six speed manual transmission.

The muscle car has also been gifted with a front strut brace with shock caps and a rear strut tower brace, with the parts being aimed at increasing the chassis’ torsional rigidity. The vehicle rides on twenty inch forged rims that use a heritage design and a gloss black finish.

The car can features a black chrome finish for the grille surround, the aforementioned vented hood that uses vintage pins and only comes dressed in Brilliant Black. However, owners can choose between the colors for the vehicle’s exterior stripes (the same colors are also used for the interior stitching): Mopar Blue, Red or Silver.

Only 500 units of the vehicle will be built. The car is already available for pre-order, with the sales scheduled to debut in August. The manual transmission version will have a price of $38,000, with the automatic gearbox coming with a $1,000 premium.

What’s interesting is that the company hasn’t released any image of the Dodge Mopar ‘10 Challenger, only offering a sketch of the exclusive muscle car.
