The contest started on Sunday, February 7 on the Dodge Car Brand Facebook page, but don’t worry, you still have time to grow and upload your own beard, as it lasts until March 21.

The new media is used to encourage people to grow the biggest superbeard they can over a six-week period. To enter the contest, a participant must upload a “clean shaven” photo. Each individual has to upload a minimum of two photos in order to enter the facial hair-growing race. The number of photos for each contestant can reach 6 photos - as a way of encourage user voting.

Voter’s Choice Round: Grand Prize, public voting determines the Grand Prize winner. This works by a simple principle: whoever gets the most votes wins. And maybe to show that they had also thought of the female gender, the organizers are throwing in a weekend for two to a 2010 Dodge Motorsports race of choice as a prize for this category.
Judges’ Choice Round: Honorable Mention Prizes, a panel of judges consisting of Dodge employees will evaluate the photographs and reward the two of them which best represent the contestant’s growth of a beard. Each of the two winners will receive a SRT Track Experience Gift Certificate.
Weekly Sweepstakes Prizes: Voters are automatically eligible to win a weekly prize. They may receive a maximum of one weekly sweepstakes entry each calendar day by voting on three individual photographs. Prize: Dodge Prize Pack.
