Meanwhile, the aftermarket side of the industry has made the Demon even quicker, as expected. The current world record sits in the 8s 1,320-foot arena. Then again, the example that delivered such a run had been taken far, far away from its stock condition.

To be more precise, its 6.2-liter HEMI had lost the supercharger. Instead, the motor had been gifted with a twin-turbo setup, one that allowed it to deliver around 1,400 horsepower for the said run.
