Audi R8 V10 Plus Sleeper Drag Races Lamborghini Aventador S, Trampling Is Hard

Judging by how the Lamborghini Aventador S looks, an untrained eye would expect the Raging Bull to be as fit for a drag race as possible. However, those who know a thing or two about the sprinting realm knows this isn't quite true.

You see, the Sant'Agata Bolognese supercar looks and sounds like nothing could defeat it in a sprint. However, the 740 horsepower beast is a 10-second car and, in today's drag racing landscape, that doesn't make it invincible.

For instance, if we are to talk factory stock machine, the McLaren 720S can take down the Italian exotic, since the Woking animal can deliver high-9s sprints.

Then we have the tuner cars - given the uber-menacing look of the Aventador S and the sheer prestige of its badge, there will be tons of competitors willing to demonstrate that playing the underdog card can have spectacular consequences.

In fact, we're here to showcase an example of that. To be more precise, we've brought along a drag race between a Lamborghini Aventador S and an Audi R8 V10 Plus.

The supercars duked it out on an airfield in Germany and while a stock Ingolstadt beast wouldn't stand a chance against the Raging Bull, the one we have here has been taken down the aftermarket path.

We're not sure about this Audi's mods, but we can tell you that its V10 motor now delivers 750 ponies.

Unlike most clips of the sort, the piece of footage showcasing the race we have here kicks off with the icing on the cake, namely the brawl mentioned above.

However, the video also includes other races, so it is worthy of your undivided attention.

As for the aural side of the battle, the naturally aspirated V12 heart of the Lamborghini easily takes the win. dominating the airfield that hosted the racing action.
