Up to this point, only motoring journalists and a few select people had the occasion to see and hear the Hellcat in the flesh. Not anymore! As it happens, this year's edition of the Woodward Dream Cruise will be the place where the most powerful muscle car ever made will make its legitimate public debut.
Where? The event's footprint is located at the Northwood Shopping Plaza on the southwest corner of 13 Mile and Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak, Michigan. When? On Thursday, August 14th between 6 and 9 p.m. will see the Viper Club Car Show kick off with more than 60 examples of the breed on display. Friday, August 15th is the date when a dude will get behind the wheel of the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and hand out free special edition Hellcat t-shirts to attendees of the Woodward Dream Cruise.

The Dodge Night Car Show is also slated to happen on that Friday, hosting more than 100 Chargers and Challengers and many Scat Pack Forum members that'll be happy to talk you through why "Mopar or no car." Saturday, August 16th, between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. you can test your track time on the 2015 Dodge Challenger race simulator, while muscle car expert Steve Magnate will also be on-site and cruise around Woodward in the beastly 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.

It's not a surprise anymore what the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat can do for $60,990: 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8, 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, a quick 10.8-second quarter mile run when equipped with street legal drag radials and an optional eight-speed automatic that shifts gears in only 160 milliseconds. Even old man Leno loved it to bits for the sheer madness of it all. If you missed that episode of Jay Leno's Garage, follow this link to see the comedian giggle like a teenage girl.
