Dime City Cycles went on with a very neat idea: to create a classic, timeless British motorcycle starting off with a modern-day Bonneville. They have also come up with a very good name for the new bike: the Distinguished.
And after taking a good look at this build, it's really hard to find a more suitable name for this machine. But the nicest thing of all is yet to come: if you liked this bike, you'll be happy to know that DCC is planning to launch a line of Triumph accessories similar to what the Distinguished is loaded with... and this means your ride can become distinguished, too!
The Distinguished is one of DCC's most difficult projects as it needed a huge amount of custom fabrication. Jason Michaels adds that building a bike from scratch is fairly easy compared to what he had to put up with: seeing that new pieces fit with existing ones perfectly, and all of them fitting in the big picture.
The effort was long but well worth, Michaels adds: besides having an exquisite look, the bike is unbelievably comfortable and can be ridden for extended periods of time.
