While H-D's 1200 Sportster is one of the bikes customizers favor most, some of the builds are so refined and elegant that we wonder why doesn't Harley make the bikes that way straight from the factory. It's the case of this Sportster from Momo Bikes Service in Tourlouse, France.
To be honest, the original H-D machine has no truly classic looks, and neither is it a modern beast. When it comes to customizing it, this lack of a definitive style is a valuable advantage, as the builder can choose to go either way.

MBS wanted to go retro, and has added a dash of cafe-racer styling with the tail loop and the straight, ribbed custom seat. Then another dash of bobber/ flat track racer was brought about with the use of a fat Firestone tire in the front and the diminutive fenders.

The bike got a sober glossy black paint job with white pinstriping on the custom tank and extending down to the belt guard. A retro miniature tail light and old-school '40s-type grips came in place, matching the black Hagon shocks and their vintage look.

And even though we're not H-D fans, we must admit this one is a monumental benchmark of elegance and beauty. Spotted on MotArt.
